100 year old Eiraku Kutani Bowl with original wood box         650 $     sold

 

 

 

 

 

Antique big porcelain bowl of Kutani ware made by greatest Eiraku Kutani at the end of the Meiji Era, around 1910.

All overglaze images and patterns are tastefully hand-painted in great colours.

The signature of the potter is written on the bottom.

We sell it with its original signed woodbox. Very good condition, no chips, no cracks.

Size: 10 cm height x 20,4 cm diameter.

Chinese Bronze Buddhist Votive Shrine mid 19th. century          350 $

 

 

 

 

This is a fine bronze Buddhist votive shrine from the middle of the 19th. century ( Qing ) continuing the tradition of the Northern Wei Dynasty. The shrine has four splayed legs cast with an inscription and is cast in relief with a seated figure of Buddha.

As you can see, it is in good condition.

Size: 5,6'' height x 2,3'' width.

Absolutely rare and amazing pottery shisa ( foo dog, foo lion ) from the mid. Meiji Period, signed by the artist and covered with wonderful glaze.

Do you find more impressive ones on the antique art market?

It is a big and heavy figure with a lot of artistic details ( take a look on the teeth and the tongue ).

Great condition, only the peaks of two teeth are little damaged, but that does not diminish its fantastic look in any way.
